Last Friday night (May 18, 2017) was our BCBP's third Friday assembly of the month that was held at the RLI building inside Malayan University Campus in Cabuyao.
The main topic that was discussed and shared with was "Submission and Unity in God's Plan". After hearing all the sharers sharing their experiences related to the topic, the last sharer was giving a very short but, a very mind-opening statement which summarizes all the sharers' inputs.
He said, "whatever we do, we do it for the Glory of God and we should do it with Love."

Quote of the Day - May 12, 2017
I had another meeting today with my 82-year old friend talking about the efforts we're exerting together to realize a JV project between my company I am working with and the company he's connected with.
Our conversations went from one topic to another, and then finally we'd discussed about abuse of some employers to their employees and a friend abusing his friend. Then later, I realized that he was talking about me.
He said, "What I noticed from you is that, you're so good to your friend." He was referring to my other friend. "There's nothing wrong with that, but my advice to you is this, 'Be good and be wise.' In that way, you won't be abused."

Quote of the Day - May 11, 2017
I just had a new friend, this time the oldest among all of my friends. He is already 82 years old, but his mind is still very sharp and brilliant.
I learnt a lot of things from him, especially in business dealings with the government. He has unconventional methods of solving certain problem which you cannot find in any books that you might have read or studied with during your schooling.
He said, he gained all these wisdom through time and experience as a Military officer, as consultant at the Congress and then later as a President of one of the Telecommunications service providers in the Philippines in the old days.
Though our age gap is very wide, almost 50%, but we got along well because of the common denominator, and i.e., he is also a God-fearing person and very familiar with the Wisdom in the Bible.
I then remembered the passage in the Scripture saying, "The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom, and wisdom is to depart from evil."
So, when we have wisdom, we shun and avoid sin, evil and wickedness in our daily life.

I just read again this morning some Bible passages in the book of Psalm which reminded me that I should "not be annoyed with evil people nor be envious of wrong doers."
The reason behind is that, "For they will fade as any green herb and soon be gone like withered grass."
And some very helpful instructions to "Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and live in it. Make the Lord your delight, and He will grant you your heart's desire. Commit your way to the Lord; put your trust in Him and let Him act." had made my day very clear and bright.

Success and happiness could not be measured with money. We can't tell that a person is more successful and happy because he has all the money everyone desires.
With humans focused more on worldly desires, oftentimes we're led to doing something undesirable and unethical which in the end, ruins the most important aspect of our life - families, friendships and most of all, our relationship to our God.
One thing that we should remember that "there's no success in life that can compensate family failure." Another thing that we need to remember is that, "no human efforts can equal God's blessing."
God bless us all.

It's reminding everyone to focus on the main purpose of the mission of the community, that is to bring the message of the Lord to the world.
The mission's purpose could only be achieved when there's a unity among the leaders and the members of the community. This calls for the submission to one another.

I'd learnt lots of things with our meeting today with one of our potential client's business consultants - a retired Colonel (82 years old) of the Philippine Constabulary (PC).
He's doing a personal consultancy business, packaging two or more companies to do JV business.
He taught me a military strategy which is applied in marketing business. He told me to, "know your enemy."
He said that "in order for you to succeed in marketing business, you need to know your enemy." What he said has made sense to me.
I then remembered a related statement I read in the book of 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene which gives the idea of winning the battle even before the war begins.
